His process may include initial interviews/research, observing meetings and group processes, assessment and editing of organizational communications, guiding and facilitating meetings and conversations, systems and organizational assessment and co-management of structural change.
Educator:
Ukumbwa has worked for over 35 years from youth and local/regional/nationalorganizations to higher education and graduate level studies. He has done presentations and workshop and programming in New England, California, Toronto and Barbados and beyond, in-person and online. Ukumbwa has created a body of presentations that are ready to engage and can adapt them as needed to the nature of diverse audiences.
1-to-1 Counseling Sessions:
Ukumbwa has open times for personal work, engagement and growth working with individuals to address the challenges of holding, releasing and disconnecting from the privileges and unearned power of racism, patriarchy/misogyny and other intersectional oppressions. These sessions can also be helpful and validating for those of us targeted by these oppressions and harm, helping us to cope, find healing and approach our freedom and liberation from a more grounded place.
